It's about people and their problems, it's about a doctor who is supposed to treat other people but cannot anymore, due to
a personal tragedy....
In fact, all characters have their own problems and personal drama but they finally get the chance to face each other and share a story....
A troubled doctor who lost his wife recently - comittted suicide - gets to know a girl who has recently lost her mother - suicidal as well - and the doctor has a relative, a writer who meets the girl with no mum and writes a script about her and the doctor...
...And there is about film producer who is afraid of all germs on the Earth...he is also a pacient of dr Carter. His assistant is pregnant with her sister's baby and the lady ends up falling in love with the writer....and becomes a film producer, instead of assistant to the producer as she gets this chance up to the end.
There is also a sex-addict, alchoolic film maker in the story, too...who is brilliantly performed by Robin Williams who by-the-way, makes a great supporting role...
...it's a story about people, drugs, feelings and optimistic final - hapiness??? - as in the end, it's like a curtain falling down: everybody from the story meets each other and become parts of a big movie, a big optimistic movie.
It makes the tragedy bearable.
